Your safety is our first job
Real people, real protection. Here is how we keep Jodate African Dating & Wedding Vendor Platform safe — and how you can protect yourself.
How we protect you
Selfie verification
Members copy a random pose in a live selfie. Our team compares it with their photos before giving a badge.
ID verification
Members can verify with an official ID. Documents are seen only by our team and never shown on profiles.
Scam detection
Messages are checked for common scam patterns such as requests for money, and suspicious accounts are reviewed.
Human moderation
Every report is read by a person. We remove fake profiles and ban people who break our rules.
Message requests
A first message is only a request. You choose whether to accept, decline or block.
Privacy controls
Lock your photos or whole profile, decide who can message you, and delete your account at any time.
Stay safe — our top tips
💸 Never send money
No genuine match will ask you for money, gift cards, crypto or bank details. Report anyone who does.
☕ Meet in public
For a first date, choose a busy public place and arrange your own transport.
📣 Tell a friend
Share where you are going and who you are meeting. Keep your phone charged.
🔐 Keep personal details private
Do not share your home address, workplace or financial information until you truly trust someone.
✅ Look for the badges
Verified members have passed our selfie or ID checks. Be extra careful with unverified profiles.
💍 Wedding vendors
Look for the Verified vendor badge and real reviews. Get quotes in writing and pay through traceable methods.
