Lakeside Events Centre

Lake Side Events Centre in Bulawayo is, without a doubt, one of the most beautiful and well-situated venues I’ve experienced. From the moment you arrive, the setting immediately stands out—the views are serene, the atmosphere is calm, and the space itself feels thoughtfully designed for memorable events. Whether it’s a wedding, corporate function, or private celebration, the venue has a natural charm that elevates the entire experience. The layout is spacious and elegant, allowing guests to move comfortably while still feeling connected to the event. The surroundings, especially being close to the water, add a refreshing and almost tranquil backdrop that makes for stunning photos and a relaxed ambiance. It’s the kind of place that doesn’t need much additional décor because the environment already does a lot of the work. However, while the venue itself is exceptional, there were a couple of areas that fell short and are worth noting. The main downside was the catering service. Unfortunately, they ran out of food before all the guests had been served—specifically, the meat was finished too early. This created an awkward situation and took away from what would have otherwise been a seamless experience. For an event venue of that standard, one would expect better planning and portion management to ensure all guests are adequately catered for. A more versatile and prepared DJ would have significantly improved the overall vibe as well. That said, these issues, while important, do not take away from the fact that Lake Side Events Centre is a truly amazing venue. With its stunning location, beautiful setup, and overall atmosphere, it remains a top choice for hosting events in Bulawayo. With some improvements in catering coordination and entertainment quality, it could easily deliver a near-perfect experience.
